Ardmore Construction has been appointed as main contractor by Croydon Hotels Ltd (c/o Jones Lang LaSalle) to complete a new Hampton by Hilton hotel at 29-30 Dingwall Road in Croydon, close to East Croydon Station. Ardmore is to complete the construction and fit-out of the 120-bed hotel over 12 floors, with banqueting rooms on the first floor and office accommodation on the second floor.
The new Hampton by Hilton Hotel is aiming for a BREEAM rating of Very Good, with practical completion expected by the end of November 2011. When it opens, it will widen Croydon’s existing hotel offer and focus on the corporate business market. Ardmore has an enviable track record in building hotels and this latest appointment comes shortly after its meticulous re-construction of London’s newest 5-star luxury hotel, the Corinthia Hotel London, on Whitehall Place.
