Following major refurbishment on the site formerly occupied by the Rock Garden nightspot, and set in the historic Piazza confines of London’s Covent Garden, The Grade II listed building constructed in 1876, was transformed into the largest Apple store in the world.
Although this is Apples 300th store, to date it is their most historic store, and the building was refurbished to retain its original English oak and York stone features.
Set right in the heart of Covent Garden, one of London’s busiest shopping districts, the store is really an architectural beauty, with a large, open central courtyard in a beautifully restored landmark building.
Cemplas Waterproofing and Concrete Repairs Ltd were tasked with waterproofing the entire basement and pavement vaults utilizing Grace’s Betec Seal and Hydroduct CF20 systems, and within a preformed sump chamber, Cemplas installed a Delta Sump Chamber, and dual pump system with high level alarm.
