Fabweld Steel Products is the access cover and drainage specialist which leading companies turn to for ladder installations.
With a team highly skilled and fully experienced with all ladder specifications, the innovative company has developed an enviable reputation for both the installation and the manufacture of manhole ladders.
Clients including Severn Trent, Thames Water and United Utility have all requested the efficient and cost-effective ladder installation service from FSP which has also carried out Highway Authority contracts for companies including Barhale, Fitzgerald and McPhillips to name just a few.
The ladder fitting service is available through the UK at highly competitive prices, with the fully qualified team equipped to work in confined spaces.
Operations director Wayne Carter said the service offered to customers had been prompted by a growing number of inquiries from contractors looking for a complete service.
He said: “As a manufacturer, we make drainage access covers and others products associated with manhole covers, including ladders. The order book for our ladders was increasing but we were sub-contracting out the installation which was sometimes unreliable and costly.
“We wanted to give the best possible service to customers, as well as offering a cost-effective complete service, so now i’ve have trained our own staff who are qualified to install the ladders and experienced in working in confined spaces.
“It’s good news for the customer because the company which has designed and made the product is the same one installing it, which eliminates many of the time-consuming problems which cost money.
“Contractors have been impressed by FSP’s flexibility in relation to both ladder design and importantly, the ability to be on site for clients at short notice. We know that our customers expect good quality, good service and no delays – which is what we offer with our ladder installation service.
“Using FSP saves customers’ valuable time and money on site and takes away concerns over having inexperienced installers working in a confined space. We are offering a one-stop-shop service to contractors which means they don’t have to worry about the hassle of sub-contracting installation and have a reliable and skilled team on site offering everything from design to installation.”
Manhole ladders from FSP, based in Telford, Shropshire, are available in galvanised and 304 or 316 stainless steel, manufactured to a standard specification or to suit specific utility and highway specifications.
Accessories like safety hoops, retractable hand holes and safety chains are also available.
Mr Carter added: “We can install ladders in existing or new chambers which can be of circular or square construction. In existing chambers there may be a ladder or step rungs that need removing, again our team will take care of them. Quality is guaranteed in accordance with our ISO:9001. 2008.”
