Two leading names from the ventilation industry are to join forces to offer customers an alternative to choosing between natural or powered ventilation.
Nuaire, the UK market leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of powered ventilation and air movement solutions, has teamed up with natural ventilation expert Breathing Buildings, in what they believe to be the first collaboration of its kind to offer customers a full range of both powered and natural ventilation systems.
With a tradition of excellence in ventilation since 1963, the Nuaire name has always been at the forefront of the industry and its products are used in all types of commercial and residential buildings, infrastructure projects and numerous applications globally.
Breathing Buildings is a ground-breaking low energy ventilation company, a spin out from Cambridge University that has revolutionised the world of natural ventilation with its unique and patented products. The company offers a wide range of
‘e-stack’ natural ventilation solutions which work by using upward displacement in the summer and natural mixing ventilation in the winter.
Breathing Buildings has created ultra-low energy ventilation systems for clients including Asda and has won several awards for its ventilation designs for public buildings, particularly schools.
Nuaire’s CEO Reg Gott explains, “This partnership marks a significant step forward in the UK ventilation industry. For many clients developing commercial buildings such as schools and retail outlets, considering a ventilation strategy has always meant a choice between powered or natural ventilation. Thanks to this partnership, however, having to make that choice will be a thing of the past. We can now offer customers a complete solution.”
“There is great synergy between both our businesses as we strive for innovative solutions for the built environment.”
Commenting on the partnership, Shaun Fitzgerald, managing director of Breathing Buildings, says, “Most buildings require a combination of both mechanical and natural ventilation for the different room types involved. We passionately believe in delivering the right answer for a client – since this usually involves both mechanical and natural ventilation, the industry needs a supplier offering clients the best of the best in both areas. We are really excited to be working with Nuaire to enable procurement of building-wide ventilation solutions.”
