Optima is the UK’s market leading partitioning specialist, offering a service that combines the design, development and installation of a wide range of partitioning systems, including silicone and dry jointed glazing, demountable system partitions, advanced system drywall and doors and frames. Optima is divided into two main parts – Optima Products and OAG Architectural Glass Experts.
The company’s headquarters is in High Wycombe, but the manufacturing plant for the partitions is in Bath. The company buys in the sheet glass, this is then cut to size, the microflush frames are fitted, the units powder coated and assembled and then sent to site. Sales of products to all of the UK except the area within the M25 are handled from Bath, together with all overseas sales.
Marketing Executive Laura Jameson explains, “We have recently opened an office in Dubai to deal with the increasing interest from that vitally important region and are looking in the future to locations such as Australia and possibly Singapore. In the UK we are split into three regions – Scotland and Northern Ireland, the Midlands and the North and finally the South plus the republic of Ireland. We have a Platinum Dealer network – i.e. those who order on a regular basis from us and who are fully trained in all our products.”
Optima has recently introduced two new products. Revolution 54 is an innovative system combining flexibility with high performance. Available either single or mullion-free double glazed; uniquely it can be converted from single to double glazed (or vice versa) in two clicks by the addition of two clip in sections. The slim appearance of a 54mm wide system is combined with market leading acoustics of up to Rw46dB on double-glazing and up to Rw38dB on single glazing. Revolution 54 is available in two distinct designs, both are completely silicone free and can be combined with any of our glass to glass dry joints including clear PETG, flush aluminium, taped or our virtually invisible patented flush aluminium joint or our virtually invisible Nebula™ joint. One of the first installations was at the Friends Provident, Level 2, One New Change, London.
The second new product is Optima 217 plus, which offers an elegant and functional solution for the modern office environment, combining the flexibility of a range of double-glazing configurations in a single slim-line system. It carries the assurance of ISO 140-3 acoustic test data from UKAS accredited laboratories.
