International tool manufacturer Bahco has introduced a great new range of utility knives, including an 18-in-one multi-tool, designed to give trade professionals the ultimate cutting edge.
The company carried out over 150 stringent user tests with more than 50 prototypes before deciding on the final design. Three ergonomically designed Ergo™ knives ideally fit the human hand, minimising grip-strength demands and allowing muscles to relax periodically, reducing the risk of static muscle fatigue.
“We value safety and work to prevent risks of both immediate and long-term injuries and pain,” says Mark Haywood, UK Managing Director of SNA Europe, who manufacture Bahco tools.
He added: “Pride and quality are also taken into account, making our ergonomic tools attractive and giving the user greater control, comfort and precision; Bahco innovates continuously.” The new range includes both fixed blade and retractable utility knives. A curved handle offers a wide variety of grips, while the ideal angle of use reduces muscle stress to a minimum. A smooth action shifts the blade into three distinct positions while a smart button enables additional blades to be stored without opening the body of the knife. The narrow head of the knife enables optimal visibility and precision to be achieved.
Also in the range are 9mm and 18mm ‘snap off’ knives featuring precise steel mechanisms for distinct blade positioning.
A complementary range of sports utility knives includes a twin blade and ‘lock back’ blade versions, a sports knife with a three inch fixed blade and a remarkable 18-in-one multi-tool which enables users to deal with a wide variety of applications.
