Bale Group has eyes on your drains

Liquid waste management experts, Bale Group Ltd, are plumbing new depths on the construction site with an advanced CCTV camera service for easy Sewage and Draianage inspection, plus a rapid response drain repair facility.

CCTV camera inspection is a new function for Bale Group and will provide site managers with an extra pair of eyes underground when carrying out duties such as pre-adoption drain surveys.

“The cameras can operate in pipe diameters from 100mm up to 2 metres and provide complete pan and tilt operations allowing a 360 degree view of joints and can also provide a view down lateral connections, to a length of 10m,” explains Simon Goddard, sewage and drains division manager.

Bale Group provide hazardous and non-hazardous liquid waste management solutions nationwide specialising in specific fields such as; bulk liquid haulage; deep suction and jetting; oil and water recycling and now an added value sewage & Drainage service.

Operational since 1998, the business benefits from the knowledge and experience of directors Tony and Hazel Bale who have operated in the industry for over 35 and 30 years respectively. Operations are carried out with the help of a fleet of over 50 trucks some of which are articulated lorries, some rigid trucks and a fleet of high pressure water jetting trucks.

With a workforce of 102 and three sites – Honiton, Plymouth and Wareham – Bale Group is a healthy operation with a £10m turnover. Last year saw a growth of 20% and this upward trend is expected to continue this year due to the expansion of their sewage and drainage division. The company also expects to see growth in their oil and water recycling operations, which is carried out at two separation plants.
“The company has now reached the position where we can comfortably accommodate large scale national contracts and we will continue to do so,” says Simon. “These will form the basis for strong and sustainable growth whilst we further develop the ancillary services such as our oil and water separation plants and the sewer and drain division.”
