Established in 2004 Simcol is run by husband and wife team Simon and Coleen Hurditch. Simon has more than 30 years experience in the industry while Coleen has a background in customer service and management.

Among the communication systems provided by Simcol are: public address; voice evacuation; background music; induction loop and infrared hearing; video and audio card-based door access; radio and wired intercom; sound and stage lighting; infra red translation; CCTV and audio visual conferencing; fire telephone and warden call. New services for 2012 include: data and network installation; IT equipment, support and maintenance along with data and disaster recovery.
As a specialist contractor Simcol works alongside many electrical and mechanical companies as well as smaller electrical contractors, directly with clients and in an advisory capacity for consultants.

Simcol engineers are fully qualified in electronics and have full up to date health and safety training including SSSTS (Site Supervisor’s Safety Training Scheme). The company complies with DDA regulations; are manufacturer trained to supply, install and commission voice evacuation systems to BS5839 pt 8 and their public address systems are designed and installed within the BS6259 guidelines.

Recent projects include: public address and voice evacuation systems for All Saint’s Academy, Cheltenham – a substantial new build school; an upgrade of sound and stage lighting systems for Blackwood Comprehensive School, South Wales and 24 induction loop systems throughout Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr Hospital.
