Established in 2007, M-PACT Building Services hit the ground running. With a wealth of experience gained working for large electrical contractors and contact books stuffed full of satisfied clients owners, Paul Wringe and brother-in-law Matthew Wright, have been busy right from the start.
Not surprising really, as clients have been won over by their dedicated work ethic focused on delivering a complete service of care. “We are totally committed to our client’s needs,” says Paul. “If there is a problem we will inform the client, but we will deal with it. The client doesn’t have to deal with any issues, so we really take the pressure off. By talking to the client and listening to them every step of the way, we really understand their needs and can therefore deliver to them a complete service of care.”
Based in Loanhead, Midlothian, M-PACT generally cover the central belt of Scotland but do carry out work as far as Aberdeen and London. The range of clients is diverse, from small to large. One of their major clients is FMC Technologies in Dunfermline – a world leader in oilrig design. “We started off small with FMC, doing bits and pieces but over the last three years we’ve won their confidence and are now in the process on delivering a major refit to their new Bellshill offices in Glasgow.”

The company has grown from just a workforce of two, Paul and Matthew to the present 18 strong team with immediate plans to expand and take on more staff. “Luckily, we have been busy from the beginning,” says Paul. “Last year we had a turnover of £1.1m and we will double that this year with the orders that we have so far.”
The impressive growth of the company has meant they reached their five-year-plan targets a year early, a feat worthy of praise particularly so in the current economic climate. Indeed M-PACT’s phenomenal success last year received industry recognition when they won the coveted SELECT Small Contractor of the Year award in 2011.
They were applauded for the strong growth, which they achieved, “without compromising on the high levels of quality workmanship and customer service it has become known for.” Says Paul, “2011 was a fantastic year for us, but 2012 will be even better. We will be building new client relationships but we will remain committed to looking after our base clients.”
