SJ Geomatics stands out from other survey companies by offering a professional, friendly, cost-effective and time-sensitive service cemented by a wealth of experience.
Proprietor Steve Jones founded the company in 2010 following 20 years experience in the survey industry. With an instant client base built up from previous appointments the business quickly expanded and now runs five teams working out of their Suffolk head office and satellite office in Peterborough.
Steve places great emphasis on creating and maintaining a great customer service, “Our relationship with our clients is paramount. We get on extremely well with most of our clients and offer them a comprehensive, time-efficient, friendly and cost effective service.”
This commitment is repaid with a substantial amount of repeat business from satisfied and loyal clients who have found them to be approachable and friendly.
The company specialises in land surveys, measured building surveys, setting out, 3D laser scanning, GPR and RFL underground detection and GPS surveys. Using very precise instrumentation, they map and data log points for post processing in their SCCS survey software.
Operating nationwide, SJ Geomatics work for national companies, local authorities, small to large building companies such as URS, Jacobs Consultancy and Bloor Homes and large architectural practices in London along with project managers, facilities managers, structural engineers and many other clients.
Their equipment is state of the art. From their RTK GPS units to their dedicated measured building survey software and hardware, you will see results that are incredibly accurate and in presentation quality. In fact SJ Geomatics was the first company in the UK to use the FARO 120 laser scanner.
The Halesworth based company has recently completed a measured building survey of 300+ apartments in Norfolk, one of many contracts that have kept them continuously busy right from the start of operations. Long may this continue, but to ensure that it does Steve insists they actively promote the company to build new bridges through advertising, face-to-face meetings and obviously recommendations from their existing happy client base.
In the short term Steve is hoping to increase operations by a couple of teams per year for the next three years to include a dedicated underground detection/ CCTV team and a dedicated 3D laser-scanning team. But looking further ahead his vision is to build a workforce of 20+ with offices in London and the north.
