PRECIOSA LIGHTING is an international manufacturer and distributor of custom-made lighting designs and luxurious residential fixtures. Production is based on centuries-old traditional craftsmanship, which we are constantly improving by incorporating the latest technologies. Our company is based in Europe but spans the globe through its worldwide distribution offices. Preciosa’s lighting fixtures and chandeliers are manufactured in Kamenický Šenov, a town situated near Prague, which is the capital of the Czech Republic, also well known as the pearl of European architecture.
Tradition and Origin
More than 500 years ago, in the territory of the former Kingdom of Bohemia, skilled craftsmen began to discover ways of moulding glass into beautiful shapes. By the beginning of the 17th century, Bohemian glassmakers were manufacturing glass of such quality that it closely resembled natural crystal.
The chandeliers from Kamenický Šenov were much sought after by the aristocracy of the 18th century. The palaces of Louis XV, the King of France, Maria Theresa, the Empress of Austria, and Elisabeth, the Czarina of Russia, were among those for which original Bohemian chandeliers provided the crowning touch.
However unbelievable it may seem, the demand for some of the chandeliers made 300 years ago hasn’t slowed down even today. That’s why we haven’t halted this production. We just introduced modern technologies and adapted our products to the current style.

The magic and power of our lighting fixtures stems from the handwork. Creation of glass in fire commands respect and still carries something of the ancient mysteries. All five elements – earth, fire, water, metal and wood – enter into the process, but it is the skillful hands of man that turn nature’s forces into noble and sparkling crystal. Experience and skills of our artisans allow us to produce almost anything, sometimes even beyond manufacturability. Thus, we are able to manufacture unique signature designs for all our clients.

Our high-volume blown glassmaking capability exceeds 3 tons of glass production daily. Cast chandeliers parts are also handmade, with high precision and thorough quality control. The process is very delicate, detail-oriented and sophisticated hand work.
We are the only manufacturer in Europe who uses oxygen fuel technology. This allows us to better control and manage the preparation process of glass. The result is impeccably pure glass of the highest quality without any visual imperfections.
