The Recycling Factory are a leading organisation in the collection and recycling of inkjet cartridges, toner cartridges and mobile phones; offering uncomplicated and transparent recycling solutions for charities, businesses, schools and individuals. We are a division of Dynamic Cassette International (DCI), based in Boston, Lincolnshire, with additional offices and collection centres in Germany.
We are ISO 9001 and 14001 accredited; an internationally recognised standard for quality and environmental management, and in 2010, we also achieved accreditation to the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) standard, ensuring all paper packaging materials supplied, such as our freepost recycling envelopes, originate from harvested and sustainable sources. The logo is displayed on all of our materials where applicable, confirming our compliance with the FSC standard. We are also members of the Institute of Fundraising as well as the Mayday network; a collaboration of businesses that are able to work together to find solutions to major environmental challenges.
We operate free of charge, UK-wide collection schemes, distributing freepost recycling envelopes and cartridge collection boxes. We understand that recycling is now, more than ever, a key concern for many businesses.
It is estimated that in excess of 30 million ink cartridges and 90 million mobile phones are dumped in landfill sites across the UK each year; cartridges and mobile phones contain some of the most hazardous materials that can take years to decompose, and have a negative impact on our environment By collecting, recycling and reusing these items, we can help to stop this harmful cycle.
We are fortunate to have partnerships with some of the UK’s biggest charities such as the NSPCC, MS Society, RSPCA, Mencap, British Heart Foundation and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). To date, we have raised over £2,000,000 for UK charities. By working together, we really can make a difference.
