Building envelope and solar products specialist Schueco UK Limited has announced that Booth Industries of Bolton, a global leader in the design and construction of high-integrity doors, windows and modular wall systems, is joining the Schueco Partner Network. The Network – the most coveted in the building industry – covers the whole of Great Britain and Schueco Partners have long been involved in major high-value projects in both private and public sectors.
Booth Industries decided to become part of the Schueco Partner Network after Barry Gregson, Director – Commercial doors, was introduced to the company at Bau 2011 by Teckentrup GmbH, Europe’s third largest steel producer and a strategic partner of Booth Industries. Schueco UK’s parent company – Schueco International KG – and Teckentrup are both based in Bielefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
Barry Gregson comments: “I had been planning to add a range of glazed steel fire doors and screens to our steel fire-door portfolio and was extremely impressed by the comprehensive nature of the Schueco Jansen fire and security offering. It was obvious that it would complement and enhance our own product range and would enable us to extend our marketing reach with specifiers.”
Booth Industries was founded in 1873 and is part of the Redhall Group plc. It has three operating divisions and a turnover of £20 million. Its business is centred around designing and supplying performance-certified blast and high-security doors for defence projects and power companies, commercial doors for a range of new-build projects such as art galleries, railway stations and airports, and bespoke high-value large doors generally.
