3e Consulting Engineers offer professional, targeted and comprehensive engineering services to clients from project inception to completion.
Originally founded in 2001, 3e operates from offices in Wakefield and Newcastle delivering projects in the UK and overseas. Their first priority is to understand their client’s needs in order to engineer the optimum solution. To do this they make the best use of the team’s considerable technical skills and expertise gained through the years across a wide range of sectors including commercial parks, student accommodation, residential and retail.
Geo-environmental, civil and structural engineering expertise is available, either as stand-alone disciplines or as a multi disciplinary service. Indeed, at 3e they relish the challenge of technically complex projects; blending engineering disciplines to deliver the client’s aspirations, particularly in terms of programme and budget.
3e’s integrated design approach enables a creative dialogue between all designers in determining the final remediation, earthworks, over-all site layout, drainage foundation and superstructure solution.
They contribute throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept, feasibility and design services to contract preparation, site management and completion.
The Directors of 3e believe firmly in leading from the front, maintaining a hands-on involvement in projects from inception to completion. In tandem, the professional and technical teams enjoy breadth and depth, with staff empowered and encouraged to make a full contribution to projects.
Directors Andy Pearson leads the Wakefield team and Stan Colabella, together with Technical Directors Steve Watson, Kevin Hagan and Alan Liddell, supported by Consultant Mel Risbin with Associates Howard Lewis and Ian Thorpe.
In Newcastle, Directors John Myers, Darren Phillipson and Steve Watson together with Technical Directors Phil Skinner, and Adrian Batey, supported by Associates Dean Gray and Richard Hall, lead the team.
3e’s recent projects include: St Anthony’s Girls School, Sunderland; Metroasis New Retail Units; new offices for Network Rail; New Red House School, Stockton; Coronation Street, Wallsend; East Durham College, Houghall Campus; Gosforth Shopping Centre – new extension; North Tyneside Hospital – modular building foundations.
