Versatility is the name of the game

Established in 2003, the Versatile Lift Company is an independent mobility specialist with the extensive engineering knowhow of the VLC group.

The company works in partnership with local authorities, housing trusts and most importantly with private individuals throughout the northwest of England and further afield, to help find the right solution at the most competitive price.
“Because we are completely independent and not tied to just one manufacturer’s product line we are able to find the best solution for our customers from our extensive range of products in stock. Alternatively, we can supply a bespoke piece of equipment tailored to a client’s unique specifications,” says Managing Director, Judith Green.

As the company name suggest, versatility lies at the heart of their business, as does providing an ethical service to their clients. “Every member of our team, from engineers to office staff, is committed to carrying out their duties in an ethical manner.”

This unusually high dedication to customer service hasn’t gone unnoticed, earning the company a reputation for providing a quality performance for a very competitive price.

VLC have many years of experience in supplying its massive mobility aid and disability equipment range to both the general public and private/public trade organisations. Aiming to make everyday chores a little easier for all people concerned, VLC offers a wide range of products to help make life easier from tap turners to stair lifts but most important of all they offer expert help and advice along with a 24 hour breakdown and repair service available 365 days a year.

Their outstanding commitment to customer service assures clients they will always be provided with the service and product that they need, at a price they can afford. “We pick our workforce very carefully and offer each member of the team a high standard of training in technical and customer service. Which is why we have such a good team working for us,” says Judith.

While the mainstay of the operation is stair lift supply, installation and maintenance wheelchair access lifts is a particular area of growth for the company, and one in which they are preparing to expand in 2012. Wheelchair access lifts gives the user an independent lift solution to the short rise steps that can inhibit disabled access into or within a building, and VLC has a wide range of wheelchair platform lifts that will suit any home or domestic setting. The company is also preparing to expand their workforce from 13 to 20 by the end of 2012. VLC is a member of the main lift regulatory body, LEIA and supplies to many councils and housing trusts in the North West. It has gained accreditation with CHAS and Construction Line as well as achieving ISO9001.
