Kershaw Contracting Services Limited’s New Build Insulation Division is flourishing, having recently secured orders from Bellway Homes and Pochin Residential, to install various insulation measures on forthcoming projects in the south east.
One of the largest house builders in the UK, Bellway Homes has appointed Kershaw to three sites – the Aspire, Poplar Farm development in Grantham, Lincolnshire, Merchants Gate in Sawtry, Peterborough, and the Maltings, Barleythorpe, located in a highly regarded area of Oakham, Leicestershire. Kershaw will be installing loft insulation into a mix of 2, 3, 4 and 5-bed houses plus apartments spanning a range of property designs.
With a longstanding track record of installation works across the south east, Cambridge-based Kershaws is well positioned to assist Bellway Homes whose approach is to use local teams in the design and build process, making for house designs with a strong regional identity and a close relationship with its customers.
Pochin Construction’s Residential arm has given Kershaw the job of installing loft insulation and party wall insulation into the new build phase of its £2.35m Government House scheme in Woolwich. The development consists of 18 new 3-bed, 3-storey houses, built of timber frame construction to Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes, and the conversion of a Georgian grade II listed building into eight flats plus infrastructure.
Ian Macklin, Managing Director of Kershaw Contracting Services, said, “Our relationship with Bellway Homes goes back many years so it’s great to secure this repeat business, and we are delighted to be working for Pochin Residential for the first time.” Adding, “We have seen an increase in completions in the last six months and these latest wins reflect that uplift.”
