Well known for decades as a leading designer and builder of quality homes, Barratt has appointed Residential Management Group (RMG: www.rmgltd.co.uk; tel: 0845 002 4310) as the managing agent for three new build developments within its Southern Counties division.
RMG was invited to tender for the contracts in Bexhill, Heathfield and Worthing, following the success of the company’s management of another Barratt Homes’ development in Bromley.
Kim Blowers, Legal Manager at Barratt Southern Counties, explains: “It is very unusual not to have any complaints at all from residents about a managing agent or their fees, but that was our experience of RMG at the Bromley development.”
She continues: “RMG gets involved way ahead of a development being handed over for management, offers good customer service and keen pricing, all of which are big plus points for us. The cost schedule that the company provides is very competitive and easy to work with, too, and RMG is willing to operate within realistic budgets and trim costs if necessary.”
The three new developments for which RMG is now responsible, Silvas Grange in Heathfield, The Fieldings in Worthing and Ambers Rise in Bexhill comprise 138 properties in total. Each development is based in a semi-rural location, resulting in the need for Barratt, together with RMG, to consider the surrounding area, taking into account woodland and wildlife.
