RMG SCORES A HAT TRICK WITH PERSIMMON HOMES & CHARLES CHURCH DEVELOPMENTS IN THE EAST OF ENGLAND

Leading managing agent Residential Management Group (RMG: www.rmgltd.co.uk; tel: 0845 002 4310) is continuing to grow and strengthen relationships with major property companies around the UK, following agreement with Persimmon Homes and Charles Church to work on three new developments in East Anglia.

RMG, which offers a specialist range of nationwide property management services, was appointed following a successful project with Charles Church at Fellowes Plain in Norwich.

Alison Page, Head of Sales & Marketing at Persimmon Homes & Charles Church, comments: “RMG is an established company that has always provided an excellent, cost-effective service. Their team is proactive as well as being friendly and approachable.”

She continues: “It is always our policy to appoint a managing agent as early as possible when setting up a development so that we can involve them, where necessary, in any decision processes. It also means that when we are ready to launch the development for sale we have all the necessary information to give to our customers.”

The three sites in question are Wentworth Gardens and The Ivory Building, both in Norwich, and The Laurels in Ipswich.

Development of the former Civil Service sports ground at Wentworth Green is underway and completions have been received. The project will incorporate 58 houses and two blocks each containing 10 flats, together with play areas, woodland and public open spaces, which have attenuation systems buried beneath to take surface rainwater away from the site.

RMG will manage both the estate areas and the blocks of flats.

The Ivory Building, a joint development between Persimmon Homes and Charles Church, is the final phase of the redevelopment of a former hospital site. RMG already manages both the estate area and a large block incorporating the old pavilion building. Work is currently ongoing at this historic redevelopment, which will result in 33 flats in an existing period building, plus an additional four new houses and a flat over garages.

Last but by no means least, RMG will manage the Laurels development of 48 houses at the former Thomas Wolsey School in Ipswich.

Comments RMG Operations Director, Clare Corbett: “We definitely try to take account of the saying that ‘you’re only as good as your last job’. Our aim has always been to strive to be the best at what we do and winning three additional contracts on the back of the Fellowes Plain development is proof that this philosophy is a good one.

“By being involved in the developments from the outset, we are in a better position to help to establish the right property management structure for each one, and to deliver the necessary services to residents,” she concludes.

Alison Page concurs: “Fellowes Plain has been a very long running development, with extensive breaks between the different phases being released for sale. Many residents have gone on to buy further properties on each phase and if RMG had not been performing I am sure this would have caused us issues in these repeat sales.”

Passionate about being the best in the business, RMG continues to campaign for increased regulation for the property management sector, in a bid to eradicate unscrupulous operators and to engender a more positive reputation for the industry.
