The SCA Group – A UK Company with International Aspirations

The SCA Group, multi-disciplinary industrial support specialists from Dorset, transfer their skills to a greater variety of industries than the UK’s leading facilities management providers.

Providing bespoke access, containment and hard facilities management services, often in extremely challenging locations – not many organisations claim they can paint the hull of a ship while elsewhere carrying out wind farm repairs 15 miles off the coast – the SCA Group are now in the throes of pulling together suitable employers in the south who can complete the ideal team to bid for government funding with focus on training for work in the ever expanding renewable energy industries.

With projected tenfold growth in renewables employment over the next decade, and skills shortages in various UK industries just waiting to be filled by our ever ready European neighbours, this investment could help the UK back on its feet.

Claudine Cross, Marketing Coordinator at the SCA Group said “We know there are skills gaps in the UK and we know there’s going to be considerable ongoing investment in the various fields of renewable energy, so we hope to hear from more organisations who, like SCA, have aspirations to be involved.”

Steve Bicknell, Financial Director of the SCA Group said “There is evidence to suggest that companies traditionally focused in other industries could easily adapt a small number of their workforce in order to work within the ever-expanding renewable energy industry.”

The SCA Group have run bid team workshops and momentum is gathering in terms of interested parties, but still need to source other employers in the south who help complete the picture.

If you are interested in joining the SCA Group in this exciting venture, email Claudine at [email protected] outlining your company’s current market focus, where you think there are skills gaps or where you can help with the bid. They’re looking forward to hearing from you.
