If you work within sustainability and renewable energy, then attendance at FutureBuild 2014 is a must! This brand new UK conference, in partnership with REGREEN, an EU renewable energy project funded through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), is coming to Sheffield City Hall on 5th-6th November 2014. FutureBuild 2014 focusses on the sustainability of housing, renewable energy and community energy schemes.
From top politicians to sustainable energy industry specialists and business entrepreneurs, a range of sessions and networking opportunities to do with sustainable housing, renewable energy and community energy schemes show that FutureBuild 2014 has something for everyone, including a high level policy debate.
The debate will be chaired by Dave Sowden of the Sustainable Energy Association (SEA). The panellists include Alan Whitehead MP, Chair of PRASEG (Associate Parliamentary Renewable and Sustainable Energy Group), Linda McAvan MEP, Munish Datta, of M & S Plan A, and James Murray, the editor of Business Green.
FutureBuild 2014 culminates in a spectacular Gala Dinner held in the prestigious Cutlers Hall in Sheffield on Thursday 6th November at which Lord Digby Jones, the trouble-shooter himself, will give a keynote speech. The dinner will be a Black Tie event, starting with a networking event and drinks reception at 7.30pm, followed by an impressive three course dinner in the iconic Cutlers Hall, a Grade 2 listed building which in its time played an integral role in both the expansion of the major local industries of cutlery and metalwork.
