Talis UK, the UK valve, meterbox and water fitting specialist, is showcasing a new butterfly valve. The ERHARD ROCO Premium Butterfly Valve has been designed for smooth and easy moving transportation of valuable water.
Part of the proven ERHARD butterfly valve range, the ROCO product has a curved design and a compressed, bearing and sealed part to ensure the safe and reliable protection of sensitive commodities, such as drinking water. Thanks to its valve disc feature with optimised flow performance, there is a lower chance of pressure loss through leakage, helping to reduce costs for specifiers and contractors.
The ERHARD ROCO Premium Butterfly Valve is also easy to use as it can be securely sealed in place, so there is less chance of water leakage. Plus, it has been designed so that the opening and closing functionality is seamless and reduces friction, making it more durable.
While the curved shape of butterfly valves make them ideal for seamless opening and closing without resistance, the addition of the slider crank mechanism to the ERHARD ROCO Premium Butterfly Valve ultimately reduces the force required to actuate the valve throughout the range of travel.
The new ERHARD butterfly valve’s unique polygonal shaft-hub connection further reduces resistance, ensuring reliable force transfer. Furthermore, with standardised connections for all types of drives from the handwheel to the electric drive, the valve will meet the requirements of a large variety of installation situations.
Mark Hodgens, managing director of Talis UK, comments: “Our extensive portfolio of butterfly valves has already proved successful, and we have developed the new addition as an evolution of this range, to meet the growing needs of the water and fire protection industries.
The new ERHARD ROCO Premium Butterfly Valve has enhanced features such as the curved design, nominal sizes up to 3600 DN and high quality coating, which makes them a cost-effective and efficient option for specifiers and contractors.”
