After a busy decking season, TIMco, one of the UK’s largest independent suppliers of screws, fastener and fixings, has announced they have raised more than £10,000 for charity. The money raised, through the sale of their popular In-Dex Decking Screws, will be distributed to breast cancer charities across the UK.
For every tub of green In-Dex Decking Screws sold between 1st March and 30th September 2015, the company donated 25p to breast cancer charities.
The range proved hugely popular last year during the ‘decking season’ as merchants sought the screws as they are specifically designed for the construction of decking platforms. The screw has a reduced head diameter to fit in the decking grooves, while its plating helps protect it against the elements. To enhance its ease of use, the screw has a deep thread and Type 17 Slash point to reduce the likelihood of the wood splitting.
Simon Midwood, Managing Director of TIMco, comments: “We’re absolutely delighted to have raised such a large amount of money for charity. Our In-Dex Decking Screw proved to be very popular last year so we thought it would be the perfect product to help raise money for charity. We’re extremely thankful to all of our customers who helped us raise the money, we were overwhelmed with everyone’s support as we sold more than 40,000 tubs of the screws!”
TIMco is one of the UK’s leading importers and wholesale suppliers of screws, fastenings fixings, nails and power tool accessories. Established in 1970, TIMco is headquartered in Nantwich, Cheshire and now employs 88 members of staff.
