Pride in the Job

Ashleigh Scotland Ltd is committed to delivering projects which meet or exceed its clients’ expectations.

Its non-adversarial commercial approach and its reputation for quality workmanship and investment in skills and training has seen the company win contracts with many leading developers, including one of the UK’s most respected names, Persimmon Homes.

At the present time, for instance, the company is working on Persimmon Homes’ site at Marchfields on the edge of Dumfries, constructing 145 private homes in total, taking in everything from one and two bedroom apartments through to four bedroom houses.

Of course, as with every Persimmon Homes development, the standards are incredibly high, both in terms of quality workmanship and health and safety. And so it has been extremely pleasing for Ashleigh Scotland that its site manager at Marchfields, Gary Hines, after winning the inaugural Regional and National Award in the NHBC’s Health and Safety Awards in 2010, has continued his success with a highly commended award at this years event in Birmingham in May.

However in June this year Gary received the NHBC’s Pride in the Job Top 30 Quality Award. These outstanding achievements are a reflection of both Gary’s and the company’s ongoing commitment to upholding the highest health and safety standards, and the Pride in the Job awards, which are highly acclaimed in the construction industry also show that they achieve the quality that is required to be successful in the construction industry.

Ashleigh Scotland improved on their ‘Silver Award’ in the first NHBC Health and Safety Awards in 2010 by winning the Gold award this year, which is only conferred on companies who have undergone a thorough audit of their health and safety procedures and clearly demonstrated that they meet the required levels of competence.

This will come as no surprise to those that know the company, including Persimmon Homes, which relies not only upon Ashleigh Scotlands quality of build, levels of cleanliness and tidiness, facilities for the workforce, and myriad other aspects that go to make up a successful project development.

Winning much of its work through repeat business and recommendation (the company regularly works for Persimmon Homes), Ashleigh Scotland takes on a broad portfolio of challenges, from residential through to commercial, schools and hospitals. Whatever the job though, one thing remains constant: Ashleigh Scotlands ability to complete projects to deadline, within budget and to the very highest standards.
