As forerunners in stainless steel sink design and in the development of coloured sinks, helping to create the perfect kitchen has always been at the heart of our philosophy, and it always will be.
BLANCO was founded in Germany by Heinrich Blanc in 1925, and from the outset his focus was clear. He wanted to set up a company to produce sinks and taps for the kitchen, and he wanted those products to be known as “the best”. That dream has been well and truly realised. BLANCO Germany has gained international acclaim for its unswerving commitment to providing innovative but functional products of the highest quality, supported by second to none service. It has an imposing HQ, purpose-built manufacturing and distribution units and a world-wide network of daughter companies.
BLANCO UK
Now operates from an impressive new HQ in Radlett, Hertfordshire, supplying sinks, taps, cooker hoods, lighting and accessories covering a very broad price spectrum. Like our parent company, we are dedicated to offering first-class service, with fast, reliable nationwide delivery in our own fleet of vehicles. Whether you are looking for individual products for the first-time buyer, the mid-market sector or the exclusive bespoke requirements of a city apartment, or for projects for the contract market, everything you choose reflects the quality and service on which our heritage has been built.
Design developments
Recent introductions have included our ground-breaking I F flat-edge technology, with its dramatic effect on the profile of the stainless steel sink, and the development of our Silgranit® PuraDur® II range, attracting a whole new audience of buyers looking to bring accent colour to their kitchens.
Sitting at just 1mm above the worktop, our innovative I F flat edge has changed the profile of the inset stainless steel sink forever. The latest generation of inset sinks in stainless steel, with their I F flat edge, sit easily with the streamlined, high-gloss kitchen schemes currently dominating kitchen design. There is now a huge range of BLANCO I F sinks, which look the part fitted into the most exclusive of solid worktops and add a note of high style to laminate worktops, creating a viable option for kitchens on all budgets.
Colour in the kitchen
With its satin-smooth surface, with the feel and appearance of natural stone, Silgranit® PuraDur® II carries the assurance of unrivalled durability and easy-care advantages. It is now available in ten colours, which are regularly updated in line with kitchen trends. TARTUFO is the soft new Silgranit® PuraDur® II earth shade for 2011 – adding to a colour pallet which already includes the rich shades of Coffee and Cognac, the soft tones of Sand, Champagne and Jasmine, and the cooler, monochromatic options: Alumetallic, Anthracite, Silk Grey and White.
The colour choice is wide, the design choice even wider. There are over fifty coloured sink designs in Silgranit® PuraDur® II. We have also introduced a range of ceramic sinks, in white and four colours.
An extensive range of undermounts
With coloured options in Silgranit® PuraDur® II and ceramic added to our extensive stainless steel selection, BLANCO offers one of the widest ranges of undermount bowls available in the UK.
Taps, hoods and accessories complete the choice. In chrome, brushed steel and colour, there are taps to suit every kitchen. Options include pull-out hose taps, high-reach taps and energy-saving taps which supply fresh filtered drinking water completely isolated from the domestic supply. The latest range of stylish cooker hoods also save energy, combining lower-powered motors with advanced airflow systems.
