In a tough market place, the reputation of Bosa Contracts has been firmly established through the quality of its work, excellent Health and Safety procedures and the expertise of directors, Richard Walker and Steve Mitchell, who have achieved a wealth of practical and managerial experience in this specialist sector of the construction industry.
Since 1995 Bosa Contracts has been at the forefront of the construction industry, striving to perfect their proficiency in the latest engineering techniques as well as the more traditional methods to enable them to undertake a broad range of Structural Waterproofing , Concrete Repair, Resin Protection and Building Restoration projects.
They consider themselves as “Problem Solvers to Industry” having had extensive experience in heavy Civil Engineering, Building and Construction projects for 40 years. Their products suppliers Sika Limited, Resin Building Products and EMPS Supplies provide them with quality systems that enable them to deliver the solution.
Bosa’s experience in project management guarantees the fulfilment of client’s objectives – on time and on budget – and they are fully dedicated to their Health and Safety procedures and training programmes that ensure their work force remain highly skilled in all aspects of the service we offer.
Sika Limited (one of the world’s largest specialist product manufacturers) have recognised Bosa’s commitment to high standards of installation techniques and awarded them “SIKA Registered Contractor” status.
Bosa Contracts Limited have always recognised their responsibilities for the health and safety of their employees and others working close by. To demonstrate this commitment, Richard Walker the Managing Director successfully completed the Nebosh Construction Certificate Level 3 and recently regained accreditation for Chas (Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme), Constructionline and UVDB Achilles. Richard has done this in-house and also delivers ‘Tool Box Talks’ to keep the workforce up to speed.
“We believe health and safety is the key to successful contracting as it instils attention to detail and professionalism from director to site level,” says Richard. “If you are doing something safely you are doing so to a very high standard and so an extremely high quality service and finish is guaranteed.”
Bosa have recently signed off a number of impressive projects that required very high levels of health & safety competence and attention to detail including Sika Waterproofing of an underground water storage tank for a new ‘dancing fountain’ commissioned by Fountains Workshop in the centre of Bradford, one of the biggest of its kind in Europe, Sika Tanking to the basement at NGY Nottingham for Wates Construction Ltd, and Concrete Repairs and Fireproofing to Fuel Storage Bunds on a BP Terminal in East Yorkshire to comply with the COMAH Regulations for Clugston Construction Ltd.
In addition Bosa recently acted as Principal Contractor on a Sika Structural Waterproofing project for the University of Teesside demonstrating that they are fully capable of compliance under CDM 2007.
Although Bosa are currently experiencing a downturn in their order book, reinvestment into the business in previous years and strong financial management has maintained a healthy business capable of taking on projects from 1k upto 500k. acting either as sub-contractor or Principal Contractor.
Bosa continues to invest heavily in its workforce, by providing a safe environment for them to work in through stringent Health and Safety policies (over the past 5 years there have been no accidents) and through continual training.
“Our workforce (including Directors) is probably better qualified than 95% of the construction industry workforce,” claims Richard. “Training does work”. You have to look after your workers, keep them safe on the job, so that we all can enjoy our free time and retirement with our families.
