The PV iBoost addresses one of the biggest energy consumption issues in many households, heating hot water.
For those homes already using PV to reduce electricity bills this innovative device will deliver further savings by monitoring the levels of PV power production and switching on the immersion in the hot water tank.
Only a limited level of power is consumed to gradually raise the temperature thus ensuring that it is the free pv power used. “Similar products in the market lack this intelligent operation and so we see this as a market winner and an excellent opportunity for installers to add value to their PV sales,” commented Teresa Auciello from Marlec.
Marlec’s display at Ecobuild 2012 will also strongly feature their fully kitted PV solar systems which have become well known for their distinctive box packaging and little extras included. The systems are designed to save busy installers both office and installation time by including a number of additional components which add a professional polish on household installations.

Ecobuild presents an opportunity for meeting established installers as well as new entrants to the market and there will no doubt be much discussion in the aisles over the uncertainty that has reigned over the industry in the first quarter of 2012. There is hope that post April 1st the industry will find a new level of operating across the sector from manufacturers to installers so that the forthcoming Green Deal can be embraced with more clarity and confidence.
