Her Majesty the Queen is not the only one celebrating a special anniversary in 2012. This year also marks 50 years since Casella CEL ( 01234 844100) began specialising in dust monitoring equipment and 40 years since it ventured in to noise monitoring, having successfully launched the world’s first electronic averaging sound level meter back in 1972.
Comments Market Manager Tim Turney from Bedford-based Casella: “It’s actually 60 years since Casella invented the first ever personal sampling pump, which was used originally for monitoring UK coal miners’ exposure to dust.”

So, we’re obviously extremely proud to have played an integral role in the innovation and development of such high quality instruments and still to be doing so many years later.”
