This specialist company offers a range of services from a full-build package in which they assist the client with the initial design, planning application, ground works, manufacture and assembly of the oak timber frame including weather board, through to the tiling and insulation of the roof. Depending on how much work the clients would like to carry out themselves or if they wish to use their own contractors, Crown Oak can offer a bespoke service designed to fit their needs.

The Kent-based firm is renowned for the high standard of quality afforded by their manufacture and construction of oak frame timber buildings such as houses, garages, garden rooms, porches and gazebos, stables and swimming pool enclosures. The company also manufacture and supply self-build oak timber frame kits across the UK. All buildings are manufactured in their own workshop to client specification ensuring that all joints are precise and are numbered accordingly.

As oak is slow growing and has a tight grain, it is much stronger and more durable than other woods. As it dries, the stronger it gets. Crown Oak use traditional methods of joints and pegs because as oak shrinks it dries thus tightening the joints making them stronger. The oak that Crown Oak uses is from managed woods so the trees are replanted making it a resource as well as providing a habitat for flora and fauna.
