Enfield Speciality Doors has just announced the launch of a new, enhanced-security flush timber-framed door. The new PAS 24 Door, which is called Guardian, is an external or internal doorset which offers protection from opportunist attacks from intruders.
PAS 24 is an enhanced security standard which assesses whether a door can withstand a number of measured manual and mechanical tests to deter the opportunistic attacker. The standard is recognised by Secured by Design. Secured by Design is an official UK Police initiative which aims to reduce burglaries and crime through the use of better-designed solutions.
The Guardian doorset is therefore ideal for such environments as social housing and residential developments as well as highly-specified apartments, as it offers a deterrent to the casual intruder.
The customer can choose from a wide range of door hardware such as:
• Surface-mounted door-closer
• Wide-angle door viewer
• Security chain and bracket
• Letter plate and security cowl
Such additions will all offer enhanced door protection for the customer.
