Powered Now research reveals most customers are unhappy with tradesmen

The latest Nationwide research tells us that UK house prices have grown 12% over the past year, with London price rises even higher. Due to the increase in property value, many are looking to maximise their investments by getting work done on their properties.

However, an independent survey of UK home owners by Powered Now finds that hiring a tradesman is a frustrating experience.

Highlights of Powered Now’s first annual Home Owner Survey:

Over 80% were unhappy with the service they received

Nearly three-quarters of tradesmen lose work by failing to present professional-looking quotes 

Over 50% of home owners would pay quicker if they could use credit/debit cards.

CEO Benjamin Dyer says: “The results of the survey confirm our view that tradesmen who use technology intelligently have the opportunity to not only save time, but make more money too.” 

Powered Now provides a mobile app for iPads and iPhones that helps field-based companies and independent tradesmen manage customers, send quotations and invoices, take payment and more.

The July 2014 Powered Now survey encompassed over 260 UK home owners, and was undertaken via independent research company Toluna.
