AFI Gains Achilles UVDB Accreditation

AFI has gained Achilles UVDB (Utilities Vendor Database) accreditation, enabling them to join the biggest utilities supplier online management community in the UK.

Over 1,500 individual buyers from over 80 UK utilities companies, such as National Grid, Manchester Airport and Scottish Power, use Achilles UVDB to find suitably qualified suppliers allowing them to manage supply chain risk and comply with EU regulations.

Trisha Walton, AFI Bid Manager, said: “We are delighted to have received this important accreditation. To gain Achilles UVDB we needed to meet specific requirements defined by Achilles to prove that our customers are able to deal with us in complete confidence.

“Achilles UVDB will increase AFI’s visibility to potential buyers and put us in a good position to tender for work with major UK utility buyers. By joining Achilles UVDB, AFI also demonstrates its capabilities in meeting industry requirements in areas such as health, safety, environmental management and compliance.”

As part of the Achilles UVDB accreditation AFI will undergo annual independent audits and benchmarking which will identify any improvements to ensure that policies, procedures and ethics remain at the highest standard.
