Other projects include the Yongsan International Business District is strategically and symbolically located within the heart and soul of Seoul, South Korea’s historic capital city, and is bordered by the picturesque Nam Mountains to the northeast, the majestic Han River to the southwest, and the extensive
Yongsan Park to the east. The Master Plan is designed to take advantage of the perfectly positioned and inspiring site which, according to Feng Shui, has the most desirable orientation with the river in front of the site and the mountains behind. SDL is working with Yongsan Development, Co., Inc. on this project.
Reinventing the Concept of Shopping
The Westside project, a new centre for leisure and shopping in Bern-Brünnen in Switzerland, is an urban scale architecture project totaling 1.5 million sq. ft. In addition to the 55 shops, 10 restaurants and bars, hotel, multiplex cinema, fun bath with wellness centre and housing, this mixed-use programme radically reinvents the concept of shopping, entertainment and living. Since opening in October 2008, Westside has welcomed a record number of visitors – 1.5 million in the first three months – and currently sees about 15,000-25,000 visitors per day. The Westside project is a joint venture between ADL and Burckhardt & Partner, Bern with Rhomberg Bau AG/Strabag AG and was completed in October 2008.

The Villa, Daniel Libeskind’s first signature series home, creates a new dialogue between contemporary living and a completely new experience of space. SDL worked with proportion GmbH on this project, with The Villa being available to discerning clients throughout the world.
Relationship with a Historical City
The theme of the Editoriale Bresciana Tower, which is set to be completed in 2010, is the reorganisation of an important part of the city of Brescia, an area between the historical centre and the new extension of the city towards the south.
