New Optigo CS commercial air coolers are chillingly efficient

Alfa Laval has developed a new portfolio of Eurovent-certified, commercial air coolers for duties in food preparation areas, chilled distribution depots, supermarkets, petrol stations, restaurants and the like.

Called Optigo, the first units released under this name are the CS20 and CS30 air coolers. With an evaporation range of +100 C to

– 300 C both are ideal for general applications in small to medium size cooling and freezing rooms. They incorporate a number of important new features, including an innovative coil pattern; energy-efficient, dual-speed EC fan motors (200 or 300mm diameter) as standard and a new supply set up which saves installation time by making mounting quicker and safer.

Both types are characterised by an ultra-slim silhouette, the result of customer demand for a high quality air unit that is simple to install even in confined spaces. For instance, the CS20 model is only 15 cm deep, which means it can also be wall-mounted to make the most efficient use of the available space. Yet it is available in six different capacities providing airflow of 513m3 to 1671 m3 per hour. The CS30 model offers up to twenty variations, the largest of which provides 4240m3 per hour airflow.

All of these units operate to a design pressure of 31 Bar. In addition, special versions capable of handling 80Barg are available to order. They can be used with H(C)FC, brine or CO2 as the refrigerant.

Externally, the new series of Optigo air coolers has more to offer, too. The smart but, durable casing is aluminium coated with a thick epoxy coating to RAL 9003 for a long working life. Each unit is available from stock and is delivered with a comprehensive two-year guarantee.
