The doorsets were tested to BS EN1634-1: 2014 and BS EN1363: 2012 for two hours by Exova, the UKAS accredited testing company in High Wycombe.

Viewing deep shafts in the round cuts survey times and costs

Drainage specialist Lanes Group plc has used advanced camera survey technology to dramatically cut the cost, time and inconvenience to the public of surveying more than 100 deep sewer shafts.
A two-person team used an IBAK Panoramo SI camera to complete full inspection surveys of more than 100 manholes across Broadstairs and Ramsgate, Kent, for Southern Water in just two weeks.
A conventional approach would have required the shafts to be inspected through confined space entry, taking up to three months to complete.

Structural Concrete Alliance announces 2017 award shortlist

The Structural Concrete Alliance has shortlisted three projects for the 2017 Structural Concrete Alliance Award for Repair and Refurbishment, with the winner to be announced by former BBC Breakfast Host, Bill Turnbull, at the Concrete Society Awards Dinner to be held at the Grosvenor Hotel, Park Lane, London on 16th November.
The winners were chosen from entries received from members of the three trade associations which make up the Structural Concrete Alliance: the Concrete Repair Association (CRA); Corrosion Prevention Association (CPA); and the Sprayed Concrete Association (SCA).
