MAXImum Results From C.K Magma
In listening to the needs of tradesmen, C.K Magma, the range of premium storage and personal protective equipment (PPE), from C.K tools, has revamped its Maxi and Mini bags, with tradesmen in mind.
Never one to rest on its laurels, C.K tools runs an ongoing intensive product development programme investigating potential and reviewing existing product lines. As a result C.K tools has redeveloped its popular, premium quality, C.K Magma Maxi and Mini bags to deliver even greater and longer lasting performance than ever before. Now benefiting from a wider opening mouth, the exposed space inside the bag is perfect for storing bulkier tools, whilst providing easy access to kit. Following feedback, the pocket arrangement has been remodelled to suit tradesmen’s requirements now with fewer internal pockets to prevent obstruction and easily accessible external zip pockets to secure smaller tools and tool accessories. With 19 pockets in the Mini bag and 22 in the Maxi, such functional systems not only keep tools fully protected in transit but also save valuable time on a job, ensuring all tools required are close to hand.

Green Deal – lite?
Government has finally admitted the implementation of its flagship Green Deal scheme has been delayed until 2013, with retrofit work now not expected to come to market until February. The Green Deal was due to start last month, with the industry hoping it would lead to a spike in retrofit work in the final quarter of 2012.
Green Deal – what’s on the cards?
The Green Deal aims to transform the energy efficiency of 14m draughty homes, cutting carbon and bills. But the cold wind of doubt remains strong.
Last month, the launch of the government’s Green Deal was described as the biggest national improvement programme since the Second World War. The Department of Energy and Climate Changes says the scheme will cost around £17.3bn over ten years and bring £25.6bn of benefits. The ECO (mandatory fuel poverty action) alone is expected to prevent the emission of 27.8 mega tonnes of carbon dioxide over two years.
Reducing Red Tape
Many of us have heard the oft used term reducing red tape, health and safety has often been the whipping boy.
Yes there are numerous cases of silly decisions taken by overzealous and under qualified practioners, but don’t think for one moment the requirements of the Construction Design & Management Regulations (CDM) 2007 will be relaxed. Too many Unions and old style principled politicians have fought too hard to reduce deaths and injuries in the Construction Industry. You simply cannot put construction in the same terms as the office or school; you play with huge machines not conkers.
